Target website profile sites/options you have that relate location and business type from the beginning for example yelp.com, google local business center profiles, etc. Then find what your top competitors for the geo targeted search terms your are trying to rank for are doing by checking out who is linking to them. Make sure the content of your website and the profiles have the geo targeted region you are trying to go after within them as well.
